Sambalaya fundraiser: The Broadside, August 22, 2026
The Capoeira New Orleans Youth Program will do a performance to open the night followed by a live performance by Amigos do Samba.
There will also be local artists as vendors: Bruna Petalla, Emma Fick, and Keion Hennessey of The Sweetest Berry, and more to be confirmed. Mawi Tortillas will also be onsite along with Nikkei Izakaya selling Brazilian-style food.
Each ticket purchase helps support the Mestre Jelon Vieira Scholarship Fund and cultural exchange programming.
