Originally from Minas Gerais, Brazil, Priscilla Maximo, has more than 10 years of experience in education and languages She is passionate about helping students communicate with confidence and discover the richness of Brazilian culture, especially capoeira. Her classes are practical, welcoming, and fun, making the process of learning Portuguese natural, enjoyable, and effective. She invites you to embark on this learning journey together at the Capoeira New Orleans academy!

  • No! Portuguese class is open to the public. But if you'd like to also learn capoeira, let us know.

  • No! Classes are geared toward teen & adult beginners.

  • Classes will be held in 4-week blocks. For that reason, no drop-ins will be available.

  • Block 1B classes are on Saturdays from 10am - 12:30pm. Be on the lookout for more class offerings coming soon.
